Air-slide conveyor sizing.
Preliminary capacity, clear-width, aeration, pressure, manifold and blower-duty checks for fluidized-gravity conveying, with a calculation report that records inputs, assumptions, equations and limitations.
01Material & duty
The capacity model is kinematic: mass flow = fluidized bulk density × flowing cross-section × assumed conveying velocity. Use plant or test data for the fluidized-density factor and conveying velocity.
02Conveyor geometry
The iron-ore preset uses 7–10° only as a project starting range from previous design work. It is an advisory, not a universal rule; actual slope must be demonstrated by material testing and vendor experience.
03Aeration & pressure
Aeration demand and fabric pressure drop are intentionally explicit inputs. Use the selected fabric's permeability/pressure-drop curve and material fluidization tests. The bed-pressure estimate uses ΔP ≈ ρfluidized·g·h and may be overridden.
04Air conditions & blower
Aeration demand is entered at normal conditions (0 °C, 101.325 kPa). BM-001 converts normal flow to actual blower-inlet volume using the ideal-gas density ratio before calculating power. Enter absolute inlet pressure, not gauge pressure.
05Distribution manifold
A first-pass round-manifold check based on actual blower-inlet volume. Equal zone flow is assumed; final branch balancing, plenum segmentation, reducers, valves and acoustic limits remain supplier/project design items.
06Calculation report
These fields are optional and appear only in the generated engineering calculation sheet. The report opens in a print-ready window so it can be reviewed, printed, or saved as PDF directly from the browser.
